Mix Master Mike has gone on to win three DMC world DJ championships, founded the most influential DJ crew in history – The Invisibl Skratch Piklz, release eight albums, join the Beastie Boys and be officially inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
We spoke to him from his studio in Los Angeles where he has been preparing a slew of new releases as well as joining the Oscars/Emmy Awards Orchestra as a permanent member.
Case in point, new images of a Hasbro Black Series figure for a character named Ello Asty have just made it online. It’s a character who’s been online in leaked concept art and stuff, but this is our best, full look at him. And he’s super cool. Plus, there’s an odd but awesome link to the Beastie Boys.

Bugg told the BBC: “I’ve been working with Mike D from the Beastie Boys on my new album in LA. He’s a really cool guy. It is a good idea to bounce ideas off someone and get an opinion. If he says it’s cool it is cool. He’s been playing me unheard Beastie Boys mixtapes.” Bugg recently revealed that his new material is “darker” than his previous work.
