Last week we’ve tested Hydrogen, a drum machine which is available for Linux. Open-Source software how we like it. Hydrogen comes with a clear interface and it’s easy to handle it. Install it, get some drumkits, start it, and after 5 minutes you feel home. We took two acapellas from the Beastie Boys site, because testing needs test cases. So, the following remixes are not really finished, only beats plus voices, no additional samples, no effects (STF?). They are not mastered, just a little bit “levelled” (mixing was done with Audacity). We hope you enjoy it under your head phones, here you are:
