Ende der Sommerpause
Wird auch langsam mal Zeit, der Herbst ist ja schon voll im Gange und übergibt den Staffelstab schon bald an den Winter (brr!). Die Beastie Boys sind wieder fleißig: Momentan kümmern sie sich liebevoll auf der Get Out and Vote! Tour um unentschlossene Wähler. Dazu haben sie sich noch ein paar weiter Bands und Künstler eingeladen. Die Termine gibt es weiter unten, sofern jemand von euch gerade in der passenden Gegend ist. Es dürfen sicher auch Leute rein, die nicht wahlberechtigt sind. Im Zuge dessen hat Mike D. auch ein Interview bei Style Weekly gegeben:
How did the diverse lineup for this tour come about?
We were trying to think what we could do to make sure people get involved in record numbers. So we started calling different artists, that word got out, and a couple artists called us, it went from there.Will the Beasties be playing any new material?

Im Bezug auf das neue Album gab es letzte Woche bei Billboard ein paar neue Infos, inklusive O-Tönen von Adrock:
We’re actually in the middle of recording it right now. We hope to have it out sometime next year. It’s a lot of vocals, a lot of words — very wordy. And it’s political, depending on what you call political. You know, if toilet talk and fart jokes are political, which they can be, in that sense yeah, very.
